Summary:

The Assistant Director of Content Strategy for the Fox School of Business is responsible for developing content designed to enhance the overall reputation of the school, to communicate the Fox/STHM story to various stakeholders. The Assistant Director will primarily focus on publication efforts for the Fox Focus (Alumni magazine), On the Verge (Research magazine), and Connections (STHM magazine) which play an integral role in raising the visibility of Fox/STHM and the university has thought leaders and educational innovators. They will also be able to focus on specific disciplines (ie. Risk Mgmt, MIS, Innovation/Entrepreneurship, International Business, Accounting, and Sport Research) where we have recognized excellence by creating and sharing new content for peers, alumni, current/prospective students, industry, and potential future faculty.

In addition, the Assistant Director will support graduate and undergraduate enrollment by attracting top-quality students to Fox/STHM programs. The ideal candidate has excellent creative writing abilities, editorial skills, and understanding of how content is developed as part of larger marketing communications strategies. He/she will have the ability to interface and communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. He/she can quickly develop clear, concise, and compelling content that attracts readers, viewers, and listeners, and engage them within various channels such as web, social, print, media outlets, and more.

Focuses on publication efforts for the Fox Focus (Alumni magazine), On the Verge (Research magazine), and Connections (STHM magazine). Will also focus on specific disciplines (ie. Risk Mgmt, MIS, Innovation/Entrepreneurship, International Business, Accounting, and Sport Research) where we have recognized excellence. Works with other marketing and communications team members to refine content categorization and structure, as well as content development, distribution, and measurement processes.

Edits, writes, strategizes, and assists with content strategy, writing, copyediting, and art direction for the school's marketing and communications collateral, including the print and digital publications; standalone stories, articles, and campaigns; marketing and communications collateral; the website; email and e-newsletters; social media; and other projects and initiatives. Works with existing and external art resources (designers, student workers, freelancers, university photographers, etc.) to build a media library appropriate for print and digital media; works closely with the school's videographer on key initiatives. Works with team members and other internal stakeholders to educate them on content best practices; enhances communication and consults with the departmental initiatives for internal clients. Maintains and enforces editorial governance so content is consistent in brand voice, style, and tone across all content and digital channels

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or related field and at least 2 years of related work experience in marketing, public relations, or similar positions. Demonstrated writing experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Demonstrated strong writing and communication skills

*Demonstrated expertise writing to specific audiences and for various channels (print, web, social, etc.) to accomplish business goals

*Ability to interface with internal and external clients

*Ability to produce content under tight deadlines

*Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse group of individuals

*Ability to work effectively in a high volume, fast-paced, highly collaborative educational environment

*Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

*Familiarity with content marketing strategies and working within editorial/content calendars

*Desire and ability to think innovatively, bring a fresh voice and perspective, working within brand and editorial style guidelines

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote).

The duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
