What you will do
Supporting Silent-Aire's Mission Critical Services, you will work unsupervised while making informed decisions to complete tasks as instructed. You will also complete detailed end of day reports with complete accountability for the time spent on the task and identify and report the difference between any manufacturing and construction deficiency. This will be completed by leveraging your knowledge and understanding of electrical, mechanical and control systems including the following technical skills-
Electric Motors (3-phase and 1-phase)
Electric motor controls (contactors, starters, relays, disconnects, transformers, etc.)
Various types of water pumps
Intake and exhaust fans
Economizers
Humidifiers
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Electrical component troubleshooting
Understands VFDs
How you will do it:
Manage workload
Ensure plans are set for work in upcoming 2-4 months (resource loader)
Request additional resources as needed
Screen and hire additional technicians
Work with Program Managers to ensure scheduling is updated, milestones are captured, budgets are adhered to, and ensure they communicate with you rather than with technicians directly (liaison)
Review time in Kronos system and approve/deny time off requests based on workload and demand
What we look for:
Required:
Full understanding of electrical, mechanical and control systems
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
Basic knowledge of Windows Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
Must have at least an Apprentice license or at least ten years of trade-related work experience, OR any similar combination of education and experience
Must gain excellent logistical knowledge of customer's onsite practices
Must be able to drive to local job sites on a request basis
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Time management, organizational and multitasking skills
Proven experience working well with other technicians and tradespersons
Must have a strong desire to continue to develop their knowledge base
Good hygiene and cleanliness are required at all times
Time management skills
Proficient with Excel, Word, TEAMS, Outlook, and overall computer skills
Ability to use a Multimeter and troubleshoot complex electrical and complex HVAC systems
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to speak with Customers and General Contractors and help identify solutions to site level problems
Preferred:
Fully understands and has mastered the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and control in air conditioning units
EPA 608 Certification
Additional Details:
Travel is required to field worksite locations
Willingness to travel to customer locations (domestic and international)
Willingness to be On-call and work overtime hours as needed
This position will have exposure to live construction sites
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must be able to pass a DOD background check, requiring proof of US Citizenship
This is a safety sensitive position
