As Service Sales Specialist, you will develop tactical and strategic customer plans to meet financial orders, sales, and margin goals. In this role, you will be responsible to call on industrial and utility customers and promote the Motor & Generator Shop and Site Service capabilities of the ELSE business to identify, develop and close orders, execute business objectives, and influence short-term and some long-term business goals.

Your responsibilities

  • Own responsibility for the growth of ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) Electrification's Industrial Repairs product and service portfolio at industrial, utility, government, and commercial end user customers in the areas as assigned with focus on M&G (motors & generators)
  • Own order growth objectives in M&G in house and onsite repairs, and other offerings as supported by local and network of ABB Electrification's Industrial Service Centers
  • Accurately identify opportunities, forecast orders and sales for a given sales territory in Salesforce.com on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Meet and exceed individual orders targets with focus on convertibility and profitable growth
  • Develop and provide proposals and presentations to customers that convey Electrification's Industrial Repairs portfolio of repair services, specialty segments, and service center capabilities geared to specific customer segments / targets
  • Develop new customers contact and conversion goals and grow existing customer market share by providing market price input on all transactions
  • Develop customer relationships from transactional to enterprise selling level
  • Work closely with additional ABB Electrification's Services sales team resources to maximize customer touch time and opportunity identification
  • Work with Network of all ABB Sales resources to leverage customer contacts
  • Work with Service Center Mangers and Specialists to assure timely execution, completion, and delivery of proposals
  • Provide competitive market feedback to the business on all proposals
  • Collaborate with Operations to define customer and equipment information for proposal generation, including flow repairs, Contractual Agreements, Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and Long-Term Maintenance Agreements (LTMA)
  • Profile key customers in each business segment in your region to drive value selling
  • Provide customer insights to key service offering gaps for New Product Implementation development and capital expenditures for shop enhancements
  • Control operating and entertainment expenses within approved budgets (T&L)
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business from an accredited university or college preferred (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, or hands-on experience associated with M&G service and repairs required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in applying solutions for motor and generator repairs - ITO or OTR
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of external / internal customers
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
  • Experience in successfully delivering business results
  • Greenbelt certification or equivalent Quality certification
  • Ability and willingness to meet ABB requirements for operating a vehicle
  • Ability and willingness to possess, obtain and/or maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required (estimated at 30% of time)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $92,500 and $171,500 annually and is bonus eligible. myBenefitsABB.com
