Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer in our Phoenix, AZ office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing our private owners and municipal clients with cost effective, quality, and attractive developments as well as developing new client relationships.
Job Activities:
  • Plan, design and manage a variety of private owner and public sector driven civil engineering projects
  • Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines, clients, and consultants
  • Attend city staff and planning and zoning, and City council/board meetings
  • Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects
  • Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare civil entitlements and construction documents
  • Prepare preliminary and final drainage reports
  • Prepare sitework and utility technical specifications
  • Prepare project proposals
  • Assist with business development efforts
Specific Requirements include:
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 8 - 15 years of civil engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Experience working with private owner and public sector projects and clients
  • Ability to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activities
  • Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required
  • Contract and negotiating skills
  • Sanitary sewer, water distribution, and storm water management design experience required
