Here's how anHR Business Partnerfor our Civil Infrastructureoffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Leads local market research and analysis for salary/bonus review cycle.
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and training on all aspects of career management.
  • Guides and coaches supervisors through progressive discipline process for entry to mid-level positions, including the development and delivery of performance improvement plans and/or progressive disciplinary strategies on employee relations issues up to and including termination.
  • Leads investigations, including communication/implementation of outcomes/decisions. Assists manager on complex investigations.
  • Has demonstrated experience in executing employment investigations.
  • Oversees student program strategy, enhances, and influences the program to align with district strategies. Maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Completion of HR designation preferred. (PHR or SHRM-CP)
  • 7 years of progressive human resources experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with a dispersed craft employee population.
  • Supervisory experience an asset.
  • Able to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Able to interpret and analyze information and data and make recommendations.
  • Able to effectively manage a team comprising of entry-level human resources professionals.
  • Seen as a trusted advisor with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decisions makers.
  • Advanced organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
