We are PAC Worldwide, and we're seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Production and Maintenance departments at our Phoenix, AZ location.

About Us: At PAC Worldwide, we're dedicated to innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement. Our state-of-the-art facility in Phoenix is at the forefront of manufacturing excellence, specializing in thermoforming, blown-film extrusion, and protective packaging converting.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving success and exceeding expectations. Your responsibilities will include:

; Personnel Management: Lead, develop, train, motivate, and empower our Production and Maintenance teams.
; Safety First: Champion safety procedures and initiatives, ensuring a secure working environment for all.
; Quality Matters: Drive quality improvement initiatives, elevating our product standards.
; Production Excellence: Execute production schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
; Maintenance Mastery: Oversee maintenance schedules, equipment repair, and facilities maintenance while adhering to budgetary constraints. Experience with CMMS or equivalent.
; Training:Oversee all training for production and maintenance within the plant. Training lead will report to Ops Manager.
; Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on initiatives to boost productivity, teamwork, and cost-efficiency.
; Organization: Keep our plant clean and organized.
; Inventory Management: Maintain accurate raw material and finished goods inventories.
; Communication: Foster excellent internal and external communication.
; Sales Support: Develop actionable plans to support sales growth and meet customer demand.
; Budgeting: Plan and manage operations within the fiscal year budget.

Qualifications:

General:

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and warehousing management principles.
  • Knowledge of thermoforming, blown-film extrusion, and protective packaging converting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Lean/Continuous Improvement, Six-Sigma, and TQM principles.
  • Strong planning, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework required.
  • Bachelor's degree and related certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years of successful operations leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting with 300+ employees.
  • Proficiency in understanding P&L statements and driving successful financial outcomes.

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a bonus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Capable of performing arithmetic calculations.
  • Budgeting knowledge and Excel proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in a team setting.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and adapt to changing variables.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Visual experience is a plus.
