The SkillBridge Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and work on a diverse range of projects. The SkillBridge intern will be paired with a Business Unit that corelates with their work experience, career interest, or educational background.
Must be an active Service Member of the Armed Forces that is within six (6) months of separation.
Must have applied to the SkillBridge program through the Department of Defense with an approval from both the Department of Defense and the Service Member's Chain of Command.
This position does not include compensation or benefits paid by APS.
The Service member will continue to receive benefits from the Department of Defense.
1) Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs.
May assist in preparing business plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations, and studies.
2) Assists in research, business documentation, studies or technical reviews.
Conducts analyses, investigations, verifications and summarizes results or findings in written reports or oral presentations.
3) Utilizes internal resources to learn business/operations/functions and apply learning in completion of work assignments.
4) Coordinates efforts with other disciplines, and/or departments in achieving project goals and task assignments.
5) Performs other related duties as required.

This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work. Employees will have two options to choose from:
*Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
