Description

  • Support all physical shipping functions.
  • Ensure that systems transactions are completed, distributed, and filed accurately and on time.
  • Assist in managing inbound process with Unyson. Drive TMS project for inbound in 2012.
  • Assist in recommending shipping containers and methods of packing.  Help with Dims.
  • Train as back up to Logistics Specialist, UPS Outbound and Ship Loose
  • Support all 5S, EHS, Lean and Quality Initiatives.
  • Assist with annual inventory process.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Lead and Supervisor in providing assistance, training and retraining to new and/or reassigned employees.
  • Build crate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including in the Stockrooom
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read and understand units of measurement (ex: feet, inches, each, roll, etc.).
  • Experience working in shipping / warehouse department.
  • Must be able to accurately record and transfer information/transactions to required forms.
  • Willing to cross-train and work when needed across all areas of stockroom, shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to perform manual counting and weighing of parts/units/assemblies.
  • Must be able to safely use a pallet jack, fork-lift, power tools, and overhead cranes.
  • Self-starter - perform work responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and available to work overtime and long hours with little notice, as required by production demands.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of employees within plant/office and external suppliers and truck drivers.
  • Professional demeanor and willingness to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to push/pull a fully loaded cart (maximum of 125 lbs).
  • Experience with ISO 9001, 5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus.
