As a Management Assistant, you will be focused on quality improvement for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs operated by the Workforce Development Division and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You'll be working with internal and external customers, to provide services, support, and feedback. This is an opportunity to support the services available to job seekers to help them achieve their educational and employment goals.

We Require
Two years of experience with quality assurance, contract compliance, policy development or providing support to management for governmental grants and/or public programs
Associate degree in business administration, public administration, social services, or closely related field
An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Value
In-depth knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) or other workforce-related programs
Two years of experience with public programs or grant-funded programs
Job Contributions
Ensure compliance with WIOA Federal, State and local regulations and policies by conducting on-going file reviews, tracking records reviewed, recording outcomes, and following up for closure
Provide technical assistance and clarification to staff with questions on WIOA regulations, policies, data reporting requirements, etc.
Provide new employee WIOA training and training to WDD and contractor staff as needed via computer-based platforms or facilitator-led instruction
Develop / Update policies or Standards of Work based on need
Submit and track requests for data corrections to ensure data integrity
Participate in department/division workgroups to enhance program services as needed
Participate in DES workgroups, meetings, and training/technical assistance to keep updated on policies, procedures, reporting requirements, and data system changes
Provide program retention and follow-up support
Monitor WIOA youth vendors and other contracted service providers annually to ensure contract compliance
Working Conditions
Work is routinely performed in an office environment; however, occasional travel will be required for program monitoring, site visits to training providers, meetings, training, and assignments in various work locations.
Must successfully complete background check and fingerprint identification to secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
